This is certainly a very special CD, with music that enchants and spreads an intensified commitment and a sense of harmony that is utterly amazing. It is the combination of performers and music that gets to a pinnacle of thrilling proportions. I had to listen twice to this CD to grasp the very essence of it's success.  There is superb controlled beauty in both solo voices, couple with subtle instrumental shadings, that makes this music exquisitely responsive. Careful relishing of the text, emotional integrity, plus tender phrasing and articulation. There is a firmly controlled atmosphere throughout the performance, everything so thoughtfully moulded, and thereby deeply committed. Every single composition on this disc breaths unity and harmony. Soprano and tenor are superb. Both have a firm control of their voice, and are clearly committed to the music and their fellow instrumentalists. In this kind of music you can do hardly better. It is well recorded. An excellent booklet with plenty of useful info. A fine release any time.
