About one thing you may be sure, the recording is spectacular, which goes for all five volumes. You will miss nothing, punchy, detailed, well spaced, and and excellent overall sound picture. As to the performances I have only praise, they are indeed fresh and unearthing a plethora of details sometimes missing in other recordings. There is never a rush in the tempi, but fit to the mood Grieg had in mind. Aadland is well aware of the normal pitfalls in this music, and he cleverly avoids them. I am quite sure that the normal Grieg listener will be shocked  by Klokkekland. This music is bursting almost out of the tonal system. Very strange and at the same funny. The old Norwegian Melody with variations is a favourite with me. Such spectacular writing, and so well recorded. Aadland makes every piece on this CD a feast to listen at.
